On Wednesday 21st August the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) were informed by the Birmingham Promotion that Piotr Pawlicki had written to the club to explain that he would not be returning to the UK to represent Birmingham in their final two fixtures taking place on the 26th and 29th August due to suffering from fatigue, and from effects of injuries sustained in both Poland and Sweden over the last month.
The SCB informed the Birmingham club that as Birmingham had completed 75% of their League fixtures no further team changes were eligible therefore Mr Pawlicki had to return or else his SCB Registration would be suspended.
As Mr Pawlicki has chosen not to return and therefore missed the Birmingham versus Ipswich fixture on Monday 26th August his SCB Registration will be suspended for a period of 28 days due to breaching SCB Regulation 017.2
1. Failure to attend a meeting duly listed on the Official fixture list
The Birmingham club will be given a facility for the same period, 28 days as from the 26th August 2024.
