SCUNTHORPE SPEEDWAY
TRAINING TRACK DETAILS Scunthorpe Speedway’s 92-metre mini track was built in 2007 and has proven to be an extremely popular addition. It’s size makes it ideal for smaller engine bikes (up to 250cc) and is perfect for introducing new riders to sliding. Riders have progressed from the mini track into all the British leagues and, at least one, has ridden in the World Team Cup whilst the Wayne Carter sessions also provide a great environment and all the necessary equipment for fans of all ages, and from all over the country, to have a speedway experience. The sessions, which need to be booked and paid for in advance can be arranged by texting Richard Hollingsworth on 07832-402167. The cost for riders with their own bikes is £32 and, for those who need to use the club’s bikes and equipment (everything is provided), it is £77. Typically sessions take place every second or third week and more information can be found at www.scunthorpe-speedway.com/?page_id=51
